Welcome to Wayfaring Wednesday! My career as a real estate agent takes me all around Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and its surrounding areas. Though I wasn’t born and raised here, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the unique blend of urban and rural charm this region offers over the last 20 plus years that I have called this region home. Wayfaring Wednesday is a Newsletter for www.wayfaringLancaster.com my Buy Local- Buy Small initiative.
My passion for small businesses stems from my extensive varied experience in Commercial Real Estate. I am captivated by the vibrant communities and quaint towns that dot the landscape of Lancaster County. I am inspired by the business owners that build this rugged terrain. I invite you to explore and enjoy Lancaster with me, discovering its hidden gems and embracing the sense of community that makes this area truly special. And of course I will share relevant real estate and homeownership tips that should interest you along your journey. Wayfarer on!

Fall Driving Safety REMINDERS
As the leaves change and the days get shorter, it's important to stay vigilant on the road. Here are some key safety warnings to keep in mind this fall:
Watch for Wildlife: With deer mating season underway, be extra cautious in areas where deer are common. They can suddenly dart into the road, especially at dawn and dusk. Keep an eye out for deer crossing signs and slow down in those areas.
Be Alert for Pedestrians: Fall means more walkers and joggers enjoying the crisp weather. Always yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and be mindful of runners on the road, especially during early mornings and evenings when visibility is lower.
Prepare for Wet Conditions: Rain can make roads slippery, especially with fallen leaves. Drive at a safe speed, increase your following distance, and be cautious around corners.
Use Headlights Wisely: As daylight hours shorten, make sure your headlights are on during overcast days and at dusk. This not only helps you see better but also makes your vehicle more visible to others.
Stay safe out there, and enjoy the beautiful fall season!

“When you buy from a small business you’re not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy his team jersey, a mom put food on the table, a dad pay a mortgage or a student pay for college.”
Come along with me as I celebrate and support our cherished local entrepreneurs. If you have a small business, event, or community feature you would like to recommend, please email me at [email protected]

As a real estate agent, I get to see many homes in various stages—from before they’re ready to list, to mid-renovation, and finally photo shoot ready. Just like models and celebrities shed water weight and get made up for a shoot, houses need their own transformation too.
I’m planning to start a series on staging a home for sale, and I've already shared some tips on decluttering. For now, I want to debunk a common myth: homes don’t always look like those stunning listing photos. People live in these spaces, and a bit of hard work is necessary to prepare them for that perfect photo shoot!
