Welcome to Wayfaring Wednesday! My career as a real estate agent takes me all around Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and its surrounding areas. Though I wasn’t born and raised here, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the unique blend of urban and rural charm this region offers over the last 20 plus years that I have called this region home.

This summer I was working from home because I was occupied by a project and didn’t want to stop.  I had planned to go into the office and have my teen son watch my younger girls . The project on the web kept my attention, so I kept on going and never really stopped to leave.  Instead, I just found myself frequently reminding my girls I was busy working and that they could talk to me or show me this or that later.  

Then I got the “Mom, you gotta see this!”  My response was, “I’m busy! Show me later!”  But then my daughter said, “But, Mom, there's blood all over the place!”  Ok! Now I am stopping!  “What happened?” My other daughter was pumping up a ball with the electric air pump and stabbed her hand into the metal pump piece.  

So….do we go to the ER or Urgent Care?  I didn’t think it was a doctor's visit but I have wondered in past times about other issues.

Over a year ago I moved out of a house I had for 18 years.  It was tough.  Not just physically exhausting, but emotionally.  I knew that decluttering the house was important for years.  But I didn’t do a real purge until I moved.  It would have been better to do it earlier and I would have enjoyed the space less cluttered if I had done it years before I moved. 

I have been in very large homes and small apartments; all people are capable of accumulating clutter or minimizing the collections.  We don’t have to live in a show room or staged home, but we can enjoy our space more with less.

I know too many people that are being faced with issues of the hurricanes. Our hearts and prayers go out to them. This is a time where I can’t think local. There are times we need to extend beyond where we are at and reach out to others effected by these hurricanes. Pequea Township Police Department and Hurricane Helene Airlift Relief is a great places to start!
