Buried?

Buried? Break Through Like a Seed This Spring đ±
đ± Pastor's Garden: A Lesson in Hope and Growth
Growing up, our local country pastor would plant a huge garden every summer. People often asked him whyâhe was clearly busy enough already. His answer always stuck with me. It went something like this:
"In life, we face hard things. We try to grow ourselves and make a difference in the lives of others. But during difficult seasons, it can feel like weâre just buried. Thatâs what seeds remind me ofâhow hope can feel hidden when life is heavy. But when the vegetables finally sprout and bear fruit, Iâm reminded that our time âunder the groundâ wasnât wasted. I plant a garden each year to remember that truthânot just for myself, but for those I serve. Growth isnât always visible, and hope doesnât always feel near. But faith is believing the fruit will come, even when all you see is dirt."
What a powerful reminder as we head into Easter weekend. If youâre in a season that feels buriedâhold on. New life is already on its way.

đ± Encouragement: From Seed to Strength
Like a seed breaking through soil, we often grow the most through pressure. Life may feel dark and buried at times, but growth is happening underneath. Keep watering your faith, staying grounded, and reaching for the lightâyour season to bloom is coming.

Lessons from NYC: Why We Donât Just âBuy Stuffâ
I recently went on a school trip with my 6th grader to New York City. What stood out to me wasnât just the city sightsâbut how many parents told their kids, âGo in the store and get whatever you want.â
My daughter was frustrated. She had been looking forward to seeing the cityânot shopping malls. And honestly, I was frustrated too. I would never spend like that just because weâre out of town. Other moms and kids seemed confused. One even offered to buy something for my daughter to make her feel better. Tension was high.
Later, when it came time to eat, I wanted to experience something specialâmaybe a place with a little ambiance and memory-making. But the group wanted fast food. And hereâs the kicker: I felt awkward. Maybe even a little judged.
But then I remembered something important: I know these families. I know where they live, what their homes cost, what kind of work they do. (Perks of being a real estate agent, right?) Truth isâwe make more. Our home is more valuable. Weâre not lacking. Weâre just choosing differently.
I realized I wasnât ashamedâI was grounded. I want my daughter to know that we donât buy just to keep up. Buying random stuff only creates clutterâand clutter either needs a bigger house or a bigger yard sale. Either way? Itâs wasted money.
Instead, we choose to invest in long-term valueâlike experiences, strong values, and yesâŠreal estate.
Letting her feel a little different, a little outside the crowd that day, was actually a gift. Because one day, sheâll understand that standing firm in your valuesâeven when others donât get itâis how you build a life that actually holds value.
Smart Ways to Save Money
Shopping:
Use Cashback Apps: Apps like Rakuten or Honey can help you earn cashback on purchases.â
Buy Generic: Store brands often offer the same quality as name brands at a lower price.â
Shop Off-Season: Purchase items like winter coats or swimsuits during the off-season for significant discounts.â
Eating Out:
Limit Dining Out: Try to cook at home more often; it's healthier and saves money.â
Use Coupons: Look for restaurant coupons or special deals before dining out.â
Drink Water: Opt for water instead of pricier beverages when eating out.
Real Estate Tips

Saving for a Home

Set a Savings Goal: Determine how much you need for a down payment and create a plan to reach that goal.â
Consider 401(k) Options:
Loan Option: Some 401(k) plans allow you to borrow money for a home purchase.â

đ± Growing Through Challenges
Life often presents us with challenges that seem insurmountable. But just like a seed must push through the soil to reach the sunlight, we too can grow through adversity. Each obstacle is an opportunity to develop resilience and strength. Embrace the process, and remember that growth often comes from the most challenging circumstances.
