Wayfaring Lancaster
New Year, Big Changes, and Cute Black Puppy
Welcome to Wayfaring Wednesday! My career as a real estate agent takes me all around Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and its surrounding areas. Though I wasn’t born and raised here, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the unique blend of urban and rural charm this region offers over the last 20 plus years that I have called this region home. Wayfaring Wednesday is a Newsletter for www.wayfaringLancaster.com my Buy Local- Buy Small initiative.
My passion for small businesses stems from my varied experience in Commercial and Residential Real Estate. I am captivated by the vibrant communities and quaint towns that dot the landscape of Lancaster County. I am inspired by the business owners that build this rugged terrain. I invite you to explore and enjoy Lancaster with me, discovering its hidden gems and embracing the sense of community that makes this area truly special. And of course I will share relevant real estate and homeownership tips that should interest you along your journey. Wayfarer on!

My husband gave me a new puppy for Christmas. The photo of her in front of the house is AI’s depiction of her selling houses with me. It’s cute. Below is an actual photo of her. Follow her on Facebook if you are interested. I will post randomly about her and other pet humor posts. Its just for fun! My son says its a good new hobby for me.

“When you buy from a small business you’re not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy his team jersey, a mom put food on the table, a dad pay a mortgage or a student pay for college.”

I studied music and learned the importance of rest notes. Without them, the music would just be noise. The same goes for life—taking intentional pauses brings clarity and meaning to everything we do.
In the spirit of the New Year, I’ve been thinking about how small moments of rest can make a big difference in achieving our goals. Whether it’s turning off the noise for a while, listening to the birds outside, stretching after a long day, or watching a January sunset, these pauses refresh the mind and energize the body for what’s ahead.
When I take the time to slow down, I find I can approach my goals with more focus, enjoy conversations more fully, and connect with others in a more meaningful way.
This month, consider saying yes to moments that let you rest and reconnect—whether it’s a coffee date with a friend or a quiet evening reflecting on your intentions for the year. Smell your coffee before you drink it, gaze out the window at a winter landscape, and remind yourself of the abundance of possibilities this new season brings.

Big Changes and a Quick Update!
Happy New Year, everyone! I’ve been taking some time to pause and regroup during a season of big transitions. I’ve been updating my systems, wrapping up my real estate license change at the end of last week as I make a move to EXP Realty, and starting a class for Insurance Inspections of High Value Home (my brain is fried!). I decided to give myself grace and I took about two weeks off from my newsletter to recharge.
I made the business move to EXP Realty because it aligned much better with my business goals. It’s hard making changes, as many who move know, sometimes we just got to do what is best logically rather than emotionally. I did that over the Holidays.
It aligns better for many reasons but one is because I am also doing building inspections again. This is something I did many years ago and enjoyed.
I’d originally hoped my new real estate systems under EXP Realty would be up and running this week, but they’re taking a bit longer than expected. Fingers crossed everything will be ready to roll by next week!
In the meantime, I’m still here if you need me. Feel free to email me at [email protected] or call/text me at 717-475-1363. While I’m limited in what I can update through my real estate system, I’m staying active on Facebook. Be sure to check my pages for updates:

Thank you all for your patience and support as I navigate these changes. I’m so excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more soon!
Warmly,
Sandra
I will be starting a new series on “The Parts of a House” soon. My dad was an auto mechanic for many years before becoming an engineer and I know that having some knowledge of cars has kept me from being cheated and saved me a time or two. It’s good to know the parts of a house when owning a home, hunting for a home, and selling your home. I will start with the buyer’s search side and then the seller’s disclosure side. If you have questions on house parts (heating, A/C, and roofs for example) please feel free to email me and I will create a video for you with that topic. I will be using my You tube Chanel and my Facebook Professional Page. I included the link on my Facebook page for now. Next time look out for the YouTube link to book mark. Some of this will naturally pertain to renters. It’s good for you to know what you are looking at when renting a house and I know you don’t get help in this regard (you are often fully in the dark!). I also hope to through in some tidbits on rare and unique features as I progress. I intend to use this to lead into a series on rare and unique home features and fixtures if there is interest (out of curiosity).
Feel free to email me at [email protected] or call/text me at 717-475-1363.
Keep in mind, I know most all of you persaonlly on this newsletter and would love to have feedback anytime. Let me know how you are doing.
