Wayfaring Wednesday
Local Notes
Living the Experience is an immersive, interactive reenactment of the Underground Railroad set in 1800s Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Guests are invited to step into the journey of enslaved Africans seeking freedom, engaging history in a way that is both educational and deeply moving.
As the first Underground Railroad reenactment of its kind in Central Pennsylvania, the production has been sharing this powerful story for 27 years. Each event includes the live reenactment, a Southern-style meal, and access to local vendors on site.
At the October 4th production, guests will also hear from award-winning storyteller and former Jeopardy! contestant Cheryl Farrell. She will share how the historic Bethel A.M.E. Church was featured on the show and speak about the role of storytelling within African heritage and historical preservation.
Ticket sales close one week prior to each production. Groups of 35 or more may request alternate dates. Please contact the organizers directly for additional details.
Step into history in a way that engages the senses and the heart — and come live the experience.

How Global Uncertainty is Reshaping Real Estate Strategy in Lancaster County
With everything happening globally, it’s natural for people to wonder what it means for real estate.
Here’s what I’m seeing locally:
Things aren’t chaotic in Lancaster County. They’re just… more intentional.
Buyers aren’t asking, “What just hit the market?”
They’re asking:
• Is this a smart long-term move?
• Will this location hold value?
• Does this home truly fit where we’re headed?
That’s a different kind of conversation.
In uncertain seasons, it’s not about seeing every listing. It’s about choosing the right one — the one that supports Longevity, not just today’s excitement.
I wrote a deeper blog on what’s happening and how thoughtful positioning matters right now.
You can read it on my "Wayfaring Lancaster" website under my latest blogs (The Wayfarer's Journal - Blog) called "How Global Uncertainty Is Shaping Real Estate Decisions in Lancaster County"
